Methods of Giving
Did you know that it costs £2,150 per week to pay for the upkeep of the church, its activities and the clergy?
Any donation you can give will be gratefully received. If you are able to consider increasing your donations by just 5% this will make a significant difference to our income. Of course, if you can increase the sum by more, this would be wonderful.
Monthly Direct Debit
By printing out, completing and sending in this form you will commit to giving a regular amount on a monthly basis. This can be amended, by completing a new form, or cancelled at any time. The benefits are:
- It helps us to budget more effectively
- It cuts down on our administrative time significantly
- It saves you having to look for the right amount of cash each week!
- If you are a tax-payer and can Gift Aid your donations you only have to complete a declaration once
Blue Envelope Scheme
- We provide you with a box of blue envelopes
- You put your cash or cheque in the envelope on a weekly basis and put it in the plate or bag during the offertory hymn, or drop it into the wall-safe in church at some other time
- If you are a tax-payer and can Gift Aid your donations you only have to complete a declaration once
White Gift Aid Envelopes
If you are.a tax-payer and put cash in the bag during the offertory hymn please consider using the white Gift Aid envelopes available in the pews This will increase your donation by 28% through the tax we recover from the Government. In other words, for every £1 you give, we currently receive £1.28.
